On Sunday, Franco won the Golden Globes award for best actor in a feature comedy for his portrayal of the eccentric director Tommy Wiseau in "The Disaster Artist".

Few days after his triumph at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards, actor James Franco is once again in the news but this time, for the wrong reason.

During the awards ceremony, he wore a pin expressing his support for "Time's Up", a movement against sexual harassment.

Speaking to The Los Angeles Times, former student Sarah Tither-Kaplan said that there was an "abuse of power" when it came to Franco's actions.

The allegations the Los Angeles Times this morning come from five different women. She said he was initially a "good friend and mentor", then the relationship became "romantic".

They said they thought Franco, who has substantial star power in Hollywood, could help them in their careers and acquiesced to his wishes even when they were uncomfortable.

After defending himself on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" this week against accusations of inappropriate behavior toward women, Golden Globe victor James Franco is now facing a report from the Los Angeles Times noting that five separate women have accused him of "exploitative" behavior.

Paley said the two also had a "consensual relationship" and that recently Franco has offered her and others "an overdue, annoyed, convenient phone 'apology, ' " which she says she does not accept.

Trump in 'Excellent Health,' Doctor Says After First Physical
Trump, who has been openly exasperated with the coverage, told reporters on Thursday he expected his exam would go well. Physical exams for presidents have been a norm since Richard Nixon , according to ABC News, but they aren't required.

Hilary Dusome and Natalie Chmiel told the paper that when Franco approached them to film some scenes, he told the aspiring actors that the footage would be used in a 7 For All Mankind commercial.

Franco's attorney Michael Plonsker disputed Dusome and Chimiel's claims and branded Paley and Tither-Kaplan's accusations "not accurate". She accused the actor, with whom she shared a consensual romantic and sexual relationship, of exposing his penis and pressuring her for oral sex while they were in a vehicle.

"I'm here to listen and learn and change my perspective where it's off, and I'm completely willing and want to", he added. I don't know, I really don't. "Our instructors were excellent, student feedback was positive and this recent tweet from a former student is very inconsistent with the mission of the school and we are investigating this matter", he said.

Another women, Violet Paley, said she was an aspiring filmmaker when she met Franco in 2016.

A month after the Gawker story, in May 2014, Franco posted a suggestive selfie to his public Instagram account.

"I got it in my head pretty quickly that, OK, you don't say "no" to this guy", Tither-Kaplan told The LA Times. She added that one girl who refused to take her shirt off in a scene was eventually sent home.

Her feelings shifted after being selected to appear, with a handful of other female students, in what she thought was one of Franco's "art films". "I just thought I was being dramatic", she said. "It's such bulls-t", she said.

Sarah Tither-Kaplan has accused James Franco of sexual misconduct.
