"We'll be ensuring that whatever cooperation that's existing between North and South Korea today on Olympic teams does not cloud the reality of a regime that must continue to be isolated by the world community", Pence told reporters.

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence has not discounted the possibility of meetings with North Korean representatives on the sidelines of the Winter Olympics, where he will officially represent the U.S.

The North Korean delegation's trip to the South for the Olympics is the outcome of a historic agreement reached this month between the two countries - which technically have been at war for more than 65 years - facilitating the participation of the North in the Games.

Referring specifically to ongoing tensions between North and South Korea over the former's nuclear programs, he said the Holy See backs any efforts for reconciliation that have been made and that will be made during the games.

Cable is introduced in po-faced style until the trailer freezes on an untouched shot of Brolin with his arm wrapped in green. Josh Brolin looks absolutely wonderful as Cable and this already looks like it may be better than the first film.

Pence is leading the USA delegation to the Winter Olympics, which officially opens Friday.

But critics say the North is taking advantage of the Pyeongchang Games in a diplomatic drive to weaken sanctions imposed on it over its banned nuclear and ballistic missile programmes.

But at JBER, part of the vice president's focus was on sending a message to North Korea.

Kim Yo Jong would be the first member of the Kim family to cross the border to the South.

"We will not allow North Korea to hide behind the Olympic banner the reality that they enslave their people and threaten the wider region", Pence said.

It includes an 114-strong art troupe and 96-crew who arrived at South Korea's Mukho port on Wednesday aboard the Mangyongbong 92 cargo-passenger ferry.

Guterres will be accompanied by senior United Nations disarmament officials, and sources have told CBS News that the United Nations could try to serve as a conduit for talks if the USA chooses not to engage in direct dialogue with the Kim regime at the games.
