Tuesday, it was reported that they intend to sign free agent quarterback Case Keenum.

The Denver Broncos search for a quarterback may have finally come to a close as Minnesota Vikings free agent Case Keenum is signing with Denver.

With Keenum leaving, could Kirk Cousins land in Minnesota?

The Vikings reportedly are one of the finalists for Cousins, along with the Jets and Cardinals. After reaching the peak of Super Bowl 50 two years ago, the Broncos have sunk on the heels of two playoffless seasons. He guided Minnesota to the NFC championship game after replacing an injured Sam Bradford last season.

The Broncos went just 5-11 last season and will pick fifth in the upcoming NFL Draft, but they already have a solid defense in place and a number of weapons on offense, including wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. Keenum will make between $18 million and $20 million per year with the Broncos, according to Pro Football Talk.

When Does NFL Free Agency Start? Player Moves Will Soon Be Official
Siemian, Lynch and Chad Kelly, a seventh-rounder previous year who sat out his rookie season with injuries, remain on the roster. The 30-year old QB finished the season with 3,547 passing yards as well as 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Keenum is a player the Broncos know well because Kubiak, now the Broncos' senior personnel adviser, coached him for two seasons while he was head coach of the Houston Texans.

"I still think we're not too far away. When you get opportunities like this, you've got to take advantage of them, so we're going to take advantage of it".

Keenum, 30, brings playoff experience, strong leadership, and lingering questions about whether last season was the start of a career renaissance or an aberration. There were some things that we should have done that we should have done differently that we didn't do.

The Vikings have no quarterbacks under contract for 2018 but have been linked with both Kirk Cousins of the Washington Redskins and Drew Brees, who has yet to be re-signed by the Saints. "I feel like we can get right back in the thick of the things rather quickly".
