These videos are a select few of a number of recorded encounters between the US Navy and UFO's that the Department of Defense has unclassified and released. The program was shut down by the Pentagon in 2012, but the New York Times reported certain anomalies were still being investigated within the DoD.

Mellon, who is also an advisor to the private research firm called To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science, wrote that the sightings of highly advanced aircrafts much superior to the ones in the United States have hinted at a possibility of some countries going much ahead of others in technology or an evidence of an alien civilization.

An object is captured flying below the US Navy F/A 18 jet in a two-minute clip.

"The object in this video remains unidentified", the organization says on its website.

On Monday, Elizondo also noted "eerie similarities" between the new video and the ones released past year, including the location in US airspace, the presence of US Navy pilots, the "Tic Tac" shape of the object and other signatures he said the videos shared in common.

Defense Department officials who analyze the relevant intelligence confirm more than a dozen such incidents off the East Coast alone since 2015.

Is it possible that America has been technologically leap-frogged by Russian Federation or China?

Video of the incident, along with another similar encounter, was published in December by the New York Times.

Unfortunately, we have no idea, because we aren't even seeking answers.

The attack could adversely affect the ongoing process of reconciliation between Hamas and the Fatah, which was brokered by Egypt. Neither Hamdallah nor Faraj were among those injured in the incident, and the Prime Minister continued his schedule as planned.

Chris Mellon, an adviser to TTSA and a former deputy assistant secretary of defence for intelligence for the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations, wrote a piece in The Washington Post on Friday calling for more attention to the UFO issue.

Meanwhile, reports from different services and agencies remain largely ignored and unevaluated inside their respective bureaucratic stovepipes.

"There is no Pentagon process for synthesising all the observations the military is making".

The Pentagon has not commented on latest recording since its release. In one example, over the course of two weeks in November 2004, the USS Princeton, a guided-missile cruiser operating advanced naval radar, repeatedly detected unidentified aircraft operating in and around the Nimitz carrier battle group, which it was guarding off the coast of San Diego.

Mellon wrote, "We have no idea what's behind these weird incidents because we're not investigating". On several occasions, I have met with senior Pentagon officials, and at least one followed up and obtained briefings confirming incidents such as the Nimitz case.

"Nobody wants to be "the alien guy" in the national security bureaucracy", Mr Mellon wrote.

"I can tell you, I think it was not from this world", retired US Navy pilot Commander David Fravor told ABC News in an interview in December 2017.

"Whoa! Got it!" one of the pilots, yells out loud after locking on to the UFO.

Luis Elizondo, the former head of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program who now works at To The Stars Academy, told CNN on Monday that the newly released video provides further evidence of what he said is likely a much larger cache of Pentagon materials about unidentified aerial phenomena and underscored the need for a public conversation around the issue. "We don't know what the hell it is".
