Marvel-themed land heading to Disneyland Resort

That's the second park at Disneyland Resort, right across the esplanade from the original Disneyland.

To make space for the new attractions, the park is removing A Bug's Land.

The updates to the other parks seem a little more substantial, with an Iron Man and The Avengers ride coming to a new Marvel-themed area in Disneyland Paris in 2020, and an Ant-Man and The Wasp attraction headed to Hong Kong Disneyland.

According to Marvel, a new "completely immersive Super Hero universe" will be coming to the Disney's California Adventure park, taking over the space now occupied by a land inspired by Pixar's A Bug's Life.

In June, Disneyland Paris will begin presenting "Marvel Summer of Super Heroes", which is a new, live-action production with special effects.

The Disney Hotel New York in Paris "will be reimagined to become ... the first Disney hotel to showcase the inspiring world of the Avengers, Spider- Man and more", according to Disney. A Captain America roller coaster has always been rumored to be a possibility for California Adventure; is that still in the cards or have plans changed?

There have been rumblings, however, that Disney is now looking for a way to bring the Black Panther to Walt Disney World, but nothing has been announced yet. This new attraction will join the Iron Man Experience, which opened in 2017. Hong Kong Disneyland's Marvel-themed area will allow visitors to team up with Ant-Man and the Wasp, which will join that resort's Iron Man Experience.

If you can't get enough of Marvel and you've always dreamed of living the superhero experience yourself, you'll soon have the chance at three Disney theme parks.

A sneak peek video was released on the blog on Tuesday. Check 'em out below, and read the full Disney Parks blog post here.
