The Pro Bowl defensive tackle has agreed to a one-year deal, just one day before becoming an unrestricted free agent.

Williams is reportedly receiving $6 million with $5 million guaranteed.

Signing with Buffalo allows Lotulelei to reunite with Sean McDermott, who served as the Panthers defensive coordinator from 2011-16. "He meant a lot to me this past season in connecting my message to the locker room at different points throughout the year".

Now, we can another (and bigger) name to that list.

Danny Amendola expected to sign with Dolphins
Amendola, 32, spent five seasons with the Patriots, compiling 230 catches for 2,383 yards and 12 touchdowns. The deal can not be officially signed until March 14, which is the start of the new league year.

At the combine, general manager Brandon Beane said the team would like to retain Williams and was hoping for a resolution to Williams' status before the league year began. The two sides came to an agreement Tuesday.

He will join a team that made a deep playoff run last season and a roster that includes running back Leonard Fournette. Originally selected by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Iowa, Hitchens went on to appear in 60 regular-season games for the NFC East franchise.

Former general manager Dave Gettleman, who was sacked in July, picked defensive tackle Vernon Butler in the first round of the 2016 draft, knowing it would be tough to give big contracts to both Short and Lotulelei.
