What doesn't help Taylor's copycat case is the fact that her video director, Joseph Kahn, has been accused of borrowing concepts from Spike Jonze multiple times in the past.

The love song is rumoured to be about the 26-year-old actor, who Taylor has been dating since last year - so it might not come as a surprise if the video reflected that.

The fourth song from Reputation to get a video, "Delicate" features Swift suddenly realizing she's invisible and using that new freedom for her fame to shimmy through a hotel lobby, dance barefoot in a subway station, and run in the rain.

Back in 2012, Mike de Marko from gay porn site men.com featured in her video for "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" - he played a guy at the party who gets covered in glitter.

But a source close to Swift defended the singer, saying her video has a "beginning, a middle and an end", plus multiple locations. The perfume ad sees a discontent young star break away from a fancy event, make amusing faces and then frantically dance around a gorgeous lobby.

Some Twitter users have compiled pictures and clips from both videos, pointing out the similarities. Another said, "Taylor Swifts Delicate MV is a complete rip off of Spike Jonze's Kenzo advert with Margaret Qualley". In the "Delicate" video, Taylor plays an global superstar who becomes invisible at a fancy event. "The setting, color palette, choreography, everything", another person tweeted.
