Twitch's new program gives Amazon Prime subscribers free games

Twitch has sweetened its Prime pot with the addition of Free Games with Prime, a new program with a very self-explanatory title: If you subscribe to Twitch Prime, you'll get free games every month. Now, the online giant will start offering free games from their archives for Prime customers to keep. Shifty. In April, Twitch Prime subscribers will get access to Tales from the Borderlands, SteamWorld Dig 2, Kingsway, Tokyo 42 and Dubwars.

Announced via Twitch's blog, the firm revealed Free Games With Prime, with Superhot, Oxenfree, Mr Shifty, Shadow Tactics and Tomb of Annihilation being given away to subscribers as of tomorrow (Thursday, March 15th).

Twitch has routinely given away free games and in-game content to Twitch Prime subscribers in the past.

On April 1, another five games will go free for Prime members. The eight titles of the company's Indie Amplifier initiative will be given out over the next few months in the program, including victor Shadow Tactics and Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation.

It's been more than a year since Amazon first tapped into Twitch's customer base with perks to improve their experience.

Free games have intermittently been made available to Twitch Prime subscribers in the past, of course - and members can now download Devil May Cry HD for free.
