WWE Issues Statement In Response To Jeff Hardy's Arrest

According to the arrest report obtained by CBS Sports, Hardy was driving northbound on Concord Parkway when he allegedly "ran off the roadway. striking about 105 feet of guardrail before the back end of the auto spun out 90 degrees. coming to rest in the middle of the right [north] bound lane of travel".

Injured WWE RAW Superstar Jeff Hardy was arrested on the night of Saturday, March 10th for DWI in Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

He was released from custody shortly after his arrest.

The report said Hardy, "ran off the roadway. striking about 105 feet of guardrail before the back end of the vehicle spun out 90 degrees. coming to rest in the middle of the right [north] bound lane of travel".

The former WWE Champion is expected to return to Carrabus County Courts on April 16.

According to a report in CBS Sports, the police gauged the damage wrought to his 2016 Cadillac was around $8,000.

Sidelined with a torn rotator cuff in September 2017, Jeff was recently given the all clear to return to WWE.

Hard has tested for alcohol but the results have not been finalized.

Hardy had reportedly been given the OK to get back into the ring following surgery he had past year. In 2009 he was arrested for possession of anabolic steroids and controlled prescription pills. However, it's not known if Jeff made an appearance, or the likelihood of him being edited out by WWE if so. "We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials". It remains to be seen whether WWE has plans for Jeff at WrestleMania, expects to bring him back after the year's biggest show, or will react one way or another to this latest development.
