North and South Korea are preparing to officially end the war when their two leaders - Dictator Kim Jong-Un and President Moon Jae-in - meet next week. He knows talks with Trump will fall into his lap if inter-Korean meeting is successful'.

Investment growth had also been expected to ease, to 7.6 percent in the first three months of the year, from 7.9 percent in January-February. We'll see what happens, as I always say.

The two leaders used the March summit to agree to expand exchanges between Pyongyang and Beijing, and saw Xi accept an invitation to visit the DPRK in the near-future.

White House officials suggested that Trump was open to acceding to Abe's hopes to obtain a waiver to the protectionist measure, which went into effect last month.

Most other key USA allies, including Australia, Canada, the European Union, and Mexico have been granted exemptions to the protectionist measures, which went into effect last month. North Korea perceives the presence of United States in the Korean peninsula as a threat and believes that having a nuclear arsenal is their only way to retaliate. "That's why this is such an important meeting".

According to KCNA, Song and Kim discussed bilateral issues and the "international situation". The president and first lady Melania Trump will also have dinner with Abe and his wife. "We'll bring up many different things", Trump said.

Other media coverage on the April 15 event included a firework display for Pyongyang locals.

In a paper previewing the visit, the Washington-based Center for Strategic & International Studies said that "bonhomie on the golf course will generate good optics, but Abe wants to return home with concrete evidence that the relationship has stayed out of the rough".

Talks between Trump and Abe are largely focused on the prospective summit with Kim as Japan seeks a US commitment that any denuclearization deal the president seals with Kim will include not just long-range missiles but those that could be aimed at Japan.

Kim Jong-Un has previously said it would only occur when the North no longer felt threatened militarily. Japan has also expressed concerns about Kim's arsenal of mid-range ballistic missiles that threaten it, but not the USA mainland.

He added that the promotion was "huge" for North Korea as Ri Sol Ju had joined a "very select club".

China's original strategy with North Korea was evidently to let a massive crisis develop, engendered by Pyongyang's weapons program. Trump's complaints center on America's stubborn trade deficit, which past year was about $69 billion, third behind China and Mexico by USA calculations.

But Kudlow suggested that the US rejoining the pact is far from certain, telling reporters Tuesday that "it's more of a thought than a policy, that's for sure".

For over six decades the United States has helped provide for the security of East Asia and prevent another war on the Korean Peninsula through a combination of alliances, containment, deterrence, sanctions and geopolitical support of its regional allies.

Demands aside, questions of credibility and trust - on both sides - will continue to linger as the talks approach. He did not say what those locations are, although asked whether any of the locations are in the U.S., Mr. Trump said, "no". "So, while pressure like United Nations sanctions have yielded efforts, it is unclear what kind of engagement strategies would lead to denuclearisation of North Korea", Jim Flynn said. Five have been returned to Japan. The UK officials were blasted by Kim-controlled North Korea for simply "poking or interfering into affairs that are none of their business".

Prime Minister Abe praised President Trump's leadership, saying his "unwavering conviction as well as his determination" have made peace talks with North Korea possible.
