Elon Musk Pushes $100 million to His Own Tedious Company

Elon Musk, SpaceX's founder and CEO, has said that the BFR could also send people to the moon, launch satellites to low Earth orbit, clean up orbital debris and transport passengers around Earth at record speeds.

SpaceX is in full-throttle development mode for the BFR, with all engineering resources focused on the deep-space rocket, and no major design updates are planned for the Falcon 9 or Falcon Heavy.

As for now, SpaceX spends 62 million dollars on a launch of their rocket Falcon 9 with 1st stage landing factored in. The facility's team will be tasked with researching, designing, and ultimately developing the BFR, SpaceX's "Big Falcon Rocket" meant to get humans to Mars.

The agenda for this week's Harbor Commission meeting says the SpaceX's new operation in the port would be a research, design and manufacturing facility for rockets and spacecraft.

Musk said in February that SpaceX will soon go all-in on the bold idea and begin dedicating its engineering talent to developing the BFR. Musk said last week that Tesla would start making a profit this year. He said that the BFR rocket will travel across the globe with lightning speeds and will fly people from NY to Shanghai in half an hour. "We are building the first ship, or interplanetary ship, right now, and we'll probably be able to do short flights, short up and down flights, during the first half of next year". The city is offering extensive perks to SpaceX for its work there.

San Antonio gave a much better account of themselves in game two after they were blown away in game one. Then, we would have to decide what's going on from there.

It may be hard to imagine a place in crowded Los Angeles, which 4 million people call home, where SpaceX has the space to build the BFR.

And there's a practical reason for setting up a seaside construction facility for BFR.

He's planning to build a network of these transportation tunnels under Los Angeles.

SpaceX also has plans for a waterfront launch site in the small village of Boca Chica, Texas.
