Google has launched Google Home, its voice-activated speaker with a Google assistant in India on Tuesday.

Google Home is the larger variant among the two. Of the three offerings in the global market, Google is launching two variants in India - Google Home and Google Home Mini.

"The bigger Google Home speaker comes with High-excursion speaker with 2" driver and dual 2" passive radiators. It will be available on Flipkart and more than 750 retail stores including Reliance Digital, Croma, Bajaj Electronics, Vijay Sales, Sangeetha, and Poorvika. It will only be available with a White body, but come with different-coloured speaker material - the default it ships with is Slate fabric. Google marketed the new smart speakers with hashtag "Make Google Do It" which touted the Google Assistant prowess with daily tasks.

Google "Home" has been designed with two microphones that utilise a technique called "neural beam forming" to enable accurate far-field voice recognition.

Contestants to perform with celebrity duet partners on American Idol
Alaina, who also competed as a teen, told Spring, "This show will change your life, but you have to continue on that momentum". The pair wasted no time in insulting the pop superstar, with Perry's mom saying: "She's still the bird, she's still mouthy ".

The duo will take on e-commerce giant Amazon's smart speakers Amazon Eco, Amazon Echo Plus and Amazon Dot.

Google Home is a smart speaker packed with the power of Google Assistant.

The Google Home features a touch surface on top, which can be used to control playback, volume, and also activate the Google Assistant. The Home speaker needs to be supported by wall socket. The speaker also supports Chromecast, letting users stream movies, shows, and music onto their connected TVs or Google Cast speakers. Hindi support will be added later this year. Unlike SIRI, Google Assistant is heavily contextual and it communicates with the app on your behalf instead of just leading you to the app. As for the price is concerned, the Google Home could be priced around Rs 10,000, while the smaller sibling could be priced around Rs 4,000. It measures 142.8mm in height and has a diameter of 96.4mm. To recall, the Google Home was launched at $129 (roughly Rs. 8,500) in the USA while the Google Home Mini was priced at $49 (roughly Rs. 3,300). A number of Google Home devices in various rooms can work together to, say, play the same music throughout the house.

At select Philips Hue and Croma outlets you get a Philips Hue + Google Home Mini at a special bundled price. There are four LED lights on the top, which indicate operational functions. It sports a non-skid silicone base and is touted to deliver 360-degree sound.
