The chief selector and former Pakistani national team cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq announced the names of the players who are included in the team that will play in the test series.

All-rounder Faheem Ashraf is the other rookie named in a 16-man party that will be captained by wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed. His medium pace will be a useful addition in seamer-friendly conditions.

Left-hander opener Imam-ul-Haq, who has played four-one-day internationals, scored a century on his debut against Sri Lanka last October. His highest score of 232 came earlier this season.

Pakistan squad: Sarfraz Ahmed (capt & wk), Azhar Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Sami Aslam, Haris Sohail, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Saad Ali, Asad Shafiq, Usman Salahuddin, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Abbas, Hasan Ali, Rahat Ali, Faheem Ashraf.

Fast bowler Wahab Riaz, 32, is omitted, with leg-spinner Yasir Shah injured.

Wireless Support For Android Auto Officially Available
Finally, after months of waiting, Google is enabling wireless Android Auto for owners of Google Nexus and Pixel devices. Nevertheless, the Mountain View-based search giant vows to extend support to more devices in the future.

"Yasir's absence is a big loss", Inzamam was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo. Attempting to make up for his absence will be Shadab Khan, who has played a solitary Test, against the Windies previous year.

"If we look at his numbers (of wickets) for the last two years, he has more wickets than any other bowler for Pakistan". Pakistan also have an option in Harris Sohail, who could bowl left-arm spin. "I hope he recovers quickly from his injury because we have some big home Test series coming up after this series too, and we will need him in the UAE".

Pakistan are the opponents for Ireland's first Test match in Malahide, with the historic game getting underway on May 11.

Chief Selector Haq thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for allowing the selectors to announce a 16-man squad instead of the customary 15 to allow for a strong bench.
