Meanwhile PrinceEstate acts as "an immersive annotated discography website highlighting the incomparable breadth and depth of Prince's recorded catalogue". But thanks to the wealth of riches hidden away in his legendary underground vault, we're still getting to hear new and previously unreleased Prince material, and it doesn't seem like the faucet is turning off any time soon.

The release comes two days ahead of the two-year anniversary of Prince's accidental fentanyl overdose death in 2016.

The remastered original features production/arrangement by Prince and features Eric Leeds on the saxophone and additional background vocals from Paul Peterson and Susannah Melvoin. And now that version has finally been unearthed. It's for this reason that whenever his estate releases something of his from the vault, it feels like a miniature event.

Global observers and Cubans alike will be scrutinising every move he makes after he officially takes office on Thursday. Today, more than two-thirds of Cubans work in the inefficient state sector, earning on average of US$30 a month.

"After retrieving my jaw from the floor, we took the reel upstairs, analyzed it, put it up on the Studer 24 track machine, and digitized it to 24/192", Prince archivist Michael Howe said in a statement. "Even our "faders up" rough mix was compelling enough to indicate that this was something very special indeed", Michael Howe, a label/A&R veteran who is now serving as the official archivist for the Prince collection. The track was initially composed by Prince for one of his Paisley Park label's first groups, The Family, and later made famous in 1990 by Irish singer-songwriter Sinéad O'Connor. Where O'Connor's version is quiet and ghostly, Prince's is a reserved rock ballad.

The song is coupled with the never-before-seen rehearsal video, which shows just how dedicated Prince was to his craft and performance behind the scenes, illustrated in the intense and theatrical rehearsal.

The late singer's estate is also bringing back the HitNRun online pop-up store concept first launch in November, which will offer fans a limited-edition black picture disk vinyl and a variety of other Prince merchandise; the vinyl will be released on May 25 and will be available for pre-order form major physical retailers.
