Winter weather advisory issued for eastern Iowa, southwest Wisconsin

The rain and freezing rain will come later.

A wind advisory also is in effect until 7 p.m. tonight for Jackson, Delaware and Dubuque counties.

Freezing rain may become mixed with or turn over to ice pellets before potentially tapering off to patchy freezing drizzle for a few hours Saturday night.

A similar winter weather advisory was issued early this morning for counties along the advisory encompasses the Lake Ontario shoreline, Tug Hill and the Adirondacks from Saturday morning to Sunday morning.

No significant accumulation of snow or ice is anticipated for much of New Hampshire, though higher elevations in the North Country may get up to a couple of inches of snow.

The advisory, which was issued Saturday night, is still in effect elsewhere in the state, but the "heavier stuff" is not expected to reach the Boston area, said Alan Dunham, a meteorologist with the weather service.
