Salah reached the landmark after scoring against Bournemouth in the English Premier League, where he is the top scorer with 30 goals in the competition. And what a number we scored as a team in the whole season, that's insane.

With 18 League titles and five European cups, Liverpool are a club with a proud and historic tradition, but the Anfield Faithful could be on the brink of seeing a long standing club and league record broken by Mohamed Salah.

"We have so much to go for and it will never stop because even if the season finishes there will be space for improvement and working from that is the plan".

The 25-year-old Egypt global has been one of European football's most impressive players this season following his move to Merseyside from AS Roma in the summer transfer window last year.

"There's something very special about playing for Liverpool", Salah said. "We had a good time in the dressing room".

"Yeah, he [Salah] told me he's going to claim all of them!"

Alex Iwobi nearly doubled Arsenal's lead moments later with a stinging strike that forced a good save from Martin Dubravka .

Two more goals would break the Premier League's record for most goals in a single 38-game season, moving ahead of Alan Shearer (1995/96), Cristiano Ronaldo (2007/08) and Luis Suarez (2013/14) who all managed 31.

31 years ago since Ian Rush scored over 40 goals?

"You saw the two games against Barcelona".

"Like I said before the Manchester City game, you write our own history", he added.

Having faced Bayern Munich and Real Madrid a combined 35 times in his managerial career, the German will come face-to-face with the Serie A side for the first time ever. Liverpool took the lead after seven minutes through Mane before Salah managed to lob Bournemouth's Asmir Begovic with a header in the 69th minute. We fight always for Champions League - in the Premier League and in the Champions League.
