During the May 17 reveal, Treyarch confirmed that a Private Beta would be accessible to those who pre-order the game.

Treyarch had just announced a battle royale mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 called Blackout on their full reveal event. Finally, Blood of the Dead will continue the Aether story from the previous Call of Duty zombie modes.

"Fast forward to 2015 or 2016, you're looking at 90 percent of our players are playing multiplayer". Games like Fortnite Battle Royale and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds have made their names because of their significant scale and the opportunity for incredible, emergent moments with that many players.

Hazard warning for United as Chelsea eye FA Cup salvation
Kensington Palace has confirmed that Prince William will miss the FA Cup final because of his commitments at the royal wedding. Former Arsenal forward Charlie Nicholas has revealed why Chelsea will overcome Manchester United in Saturday's FA Cup final.

However, Call of Duty's take on the formula is going to be unique, and it looks like that will also be true in terms of the mode's player count. The game will include a battle royale mode titled Blackout, though controversially will not feature a traditional single-player campaign.

Black Ops 4 features "boots on the ground" combat, for those familiar with the franchise. The medic class can assist with healing on the fly, since healing has changed for Black Ops 4, not being automatic like most Call of Duty titles, but must be done manually. The only downside of Fortnite is that players who don't land in map favorite locations such as the "Titled Towers" don't get to see that much action until the later stages of the game and the only thing they can do is scavenge resources and weapons.

What's interesting about the huge map that Black Ops 4 is going to feature in the new mode is the fact that the developers are saying that they added "iconic parts of your favorite maps and putting them in one place". Furthermore, Treyarch and Beenox worked closely with the team at Blizzard to incorporate Battle.net's social systems, security, and server stability into Black Ops 4 to prepare for the release on Battle.net on October 12th. It's therefore likely that the Black Ops 4 beta release date will be sometime during August.
