Rapper XXXTentacion shot, killed outside South Florida motorcycle shop, TMZ reports

After that there was no looking back for the Florida-born rapper, whose death on Monday has left the music world shocked.

XXXTentacion has made headlines in recent months for a string of legal problems stemming from a 2016 domestic violence arrest. A video appeared to show him punching a pregnant woman - his lawyers said the video was "completely in jest" - and he was awaiting trial in the beating of his pregnant girlfriend. In dispatch audio obtained by TMZ, the Broward County Sheriff's Office said the shooting was a "possible drive-by". According to the Los Angeles Times, at the time of his death XXXTentacion was facing up to 30 years in prison after being charged with false imprisonment, assault and witness tampering.

After hearing the shots, many surrounded the vehicle while onlookers took video of the horrific incident and shared it on social media. "I never told you how much you inspired me when you were here", he posted on Twitter. He was a real talented musician, only 20yrs old, ' tweeted Liverpool FC footballer Daniel Sturridge while Like Mike took to social media to say: 'Please don't say this is real #xxxtentacion'. J. Cole called him an "enormous talent" with "limitless potential". "God bless his family, friends and fans".
