Sarah Hyland Reveals She's Been Hospitalized With A 'Painful, Swollen' Face

The puffiness in Hyland's face and around her eyes is common for those with a kidney disease, as a result of the protein leaked into the urine and an increase in sodium retention.

The actress has been open with the fact that she suffers from kidney dysplasia, which means her kidneys developed irregularly while she was still in the womb.

Sarah Hyland was hospitalized on Monday, June 18, 2018.

'So here is my face that was torn from work against my will. 'But I'm very grateful it was. "Health should always come first".

It wasn't all, though as she shared a video of her dog licking her face, which had been filmed shortly before she was taken to hospital.

Sarah added, "Can't wait to come back to my precious angel princess".

Today, one insider told People that: 'Sarah had a scare and was hospitalized.

After her scare, Hyland misses her significant other, former Bachelorette contestant Wells Adams, who is now in Mexico to shoot Bachelor in Paradise.

"I know what I feels like to be on and out of hospitals so often and to constantly be Ill over several years". But I know that when I get clearance I will be able to get back to the STRONG, lean, and fabulous self I know I can be'. Although it's something that Hyland has dealt with before, she reminds followers to always take health seriously, regardless of other sacrifices. Both mentally and physically.

"I don't mind when you say that I look pregnant", she added.
