Suspect in shooting of 3 Kansas City cops holed up

Police spokesman Jacob Becchina said Sunday that the officers' conditions aren't available.

Sunday evening, Kansas City police tweeted crime scene photos showing an undercover police vehicle riddle with gunshots. A third officer was hit by gunfire and also in stable condition.

"They encountered a suspect who fired on officers with a rifle", police said in the tweets.

Authorities shot and killed a man suspected of shooting three Kansas City police officers, a newspaper reported.

The police said they only believe there is one shooter and they are working to take that suspect into custody at the scene of the standoff.

Media quoted Jagdeesh Subramanian, president of the India Association of Kansas City, as saying that the group was grateful to police for pursuing Sharath's shooting diligently and that "there is some closure" with the person of interest's death.

But this is not the same as a road auto that steers autonomously based on detecting road markings and other vehicles. While the auto drives itself, it carries four people up the hill - an emergency driver and three passengers.

The unidentified suspect then fled in a vehicle with another person, who was later arrested. "At that point two of our officers were shot".

The shooting happened in the area of 40 Highway and Manchester Trafficway. "We've been looking for him all week", Chief Smith said of the person of interest in Kopuu's killing.

"This is the first time we laid eyes on him", Smith said.

The law enforcement response was massive. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of the @kcpolice department and their families". "Sharath is known to his family and friends as full of dreams, cheerful, energetic and athletic", Chowdavaram wrote.

Koppu from Telangana was a software engineer who came to the U.S. in January to pursue his master's degree. "He had the same dreams like everyone else to make it BIG in the land of opportunity".
