While the Nokia 7 Plus has a Zeiss camera, the 6.1 Plus (X6) and 5.1 Plus (X5) do not, so this will be a first for the series.

Effortlessly stylish, understated and compact, the new Nokia 5.1 is an eye-catcher as its signature aluminium unibody design is refined to achieve ultimate quality, style and feel in the hand; while still retaining the rigidity and reliability you expect of a Nokia Android smartphone.

The smartphone launching in India next week is essentially the Nokia 5.1 Plus. The Nokia 7.1 Plus is expected to be launched by the end of 2018, and is most likely to be placed in the premium mid-range segment. The notch itself is not as big as the one found on the iPhone X or as small as Oppo's "Waterdrop" screen, but it is safe to say that it is identical to the one on Nokia 6.1 Plus.

The Nokia 9 was touted to be launched sometime this fall as HMD's flagship for the year, but sources claim the company now feel the device isn't perfected at the moment, and will, therefore, push the launch back to next year.

On the camera front, there is a dual-camera setup with a combination of 13-megapixel primary with LED Flash, PDAF and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor for AI portrait shots.

Girl (12) critically ill after second shark attack hits Australian island
A girl has suffered a "significant leg injury" in a shark attack at a popular tourist spot in Australia, paramedics say. It is understood the 12-year-old was on a boat at Cid Harbour with her father and sister.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Nokia 5.1 Plus sports a 5.8-inch HD+ (1520×720 pixels) display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Sensors onboard the handset include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The notch houses the front camera and the earpiece.

We can also see Android One logo at the bottom of the rear panel, which is not surprising.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 is expected to power the phone, there will be up to 6GB RAM, as much as 128GB of storage, and Android 9 Pie out of the box with Android One. It is backed by a 3060mAh battery and comes with fast charging support.
