The power is achieved through a twin-scroll turbocharger and two separate exhaust ducts in the exhaust manifold. Power goes to all four-wheel using an AMG Speedshift DCT 7G dual clutch transmission.

Project One, the Mercedes-Benz hypercar project, is back on track according to Tobias Moers, chief executive of the Mercedes-owned tuning and performance firm AMG, who admits that there have been "challenges" since the vehicle was unveiled on the eve of the Frankfurt motor show nearly a year ago. However, unlike Hamilton's F1 vehicle, the Project One will be all-wheel-drive with additional electric motors powering the front two wheels in tandem with the engine and hybrid system powering the rear. Five different driving programs are integrated with Slippery, Comfort, Sport, and Sport + modes. An individual setting also allows the driver to customize.

There's additional adjustment for the ESP system, with "Basic" and "Advanced" modes on offer, while the optional adaptive damper systems come with three modes as well. The brakes, meanwhile, use four-piston monoblock callipers and 350mm vented and perforated discs up front and single piston callipers and 330mm discs at the rear. The vehicle rides on 18-inch light alloy wheels and has special AMG body tidbits. An AMG exhaust system has an automatically controlled flap for sound variation with the drive program.

Inside, the vehicle has special seats for support and the MBUX multimedia system.

1 shot at West Chester retirement community; shooter remains on the loose
The search in Chester County for a man who officials say shot and killed his parents and shot at his ex-wife has come to an end. Authorities say 59-year-old Bruce Rogal shot at his ex-wife and then killed his parents at the retirement centre.

Inside, the standard A-class interior has been reworked with unique upholstery for the seats an AMG steering wheel with touch-pad controls and AMG specific graphics for the digital instruments, including a so-called Supersport mode with a large central round rev counter.

Some features include lap and sector times, and the system can display maps for certain major race tracks - think the Nurburgring or Spa Francorchamps.

The auto will be shown in public for the first time at the Paris Motor Show in October, with sales kicking off later that month. It's unclear when/if a United States launch will happen.
