We've known for a while that the OnePlus 6T would launch on October 30. OnePlus has already confirmed a few changes though - the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor, no 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android Pie out-of-the-box. OnePlus, however, doesn't really have the benefit of not caring about competing launch events, so it's made a decision to change the date for its own. OnePlus has moved the date up a day in response to Apple's announcement of an unusual second fall event on the 30th. The Chinese company is holding launch events in three big cities - New York, New Delhi, and Shenzhen - to mark the arrival of the OnePlus 6T. OnePlus has announced that its next flagship, called the OnePlus 6T, will be announced in India on October 30. Starting with those of you who own a ticket, but won't be able to make the event. But the OnePlus 6 has proved to be a worthy competitor for Pixel devices in terms of camera performance. The report suggests that the hardware and software of the OnePlus 6T will work together enabling users to click low light photos with "ample clarity, sharpness, good dark-to-light contrast, and negligible noise".

In a post to the OnePlus forums today, the company says that it has picked a new date for its 6T reveal: October 29, one day before it originally planned to reveal the phone. The last-minute change is less damaging than being swallowed up in the Apple news cycle.
