Tanushree Dutta slaps a Rs 10 crore defamation suit against Rakhi Sawant

Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of Horn OK Please in 2008 and stated that when she turned down his unruly advances, he called up goons from the MNS party and they vandalised her vehicle and threathened her with dire consequences.

Undoubtedly, Tanushree Dutta is the flag-bearer of the #MeToo movement as after she showed courage and accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of the 2008 film Horn Ok Pleasss, several women from the Hindi film industry and other fields have come out in the open and talked about their ordeal.

Dutta's lawyer confirmed the news to them, saying, "On behalf of Tanushree Dutta, we have filed a defamation case of Rs 10 crore on Rakhi Sawant".

Rakhi had further added, " She is talking about the past which has nothing to do with the incident.

He also said that if she failed to reply, Rakhi would be punished for two years. Speaking to a television channel recently, Rakhi attacked Tanushree and said that she was trying to gain publicity.

She also accused Tanushree of using drugs in the United States. "She was staying in [my friend] Bindu's house".

When asked by a reporter about how she knew that Tanushree was lying unconscious in her vanity van, considering the door was closed, Rakhi said, "You get her blood checked now! She was not working there", Rakhi told the media.

Apart from these, Rakhi also uploaded a series of videos on her Instagram, telling a similar version of events.

Calling actor Nana Patekar "arrogant", Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray came out in support of the actor facing sexual harassment charges. Says a source close to Housefull 4, "In Hollywood, they scrapped Kevin Spacey's role from the film All The Money In The World and replaced him with Christopher Plummer overnight".
