Tamera's husband Adam feared Alaina was among the dead.

Filipino-American college student Alaina Punzalan Housley was among the 12 people killed in the horrific shooting inside a bar in Thousand Oaks, California on Wednesday night (Thursday morning in Manila), the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles said.

Tamera Mowry-Housley, twin star of the hit series "Sister, Sister" from the 1990s, was searching for her niece on the morning of November 8, after a deadly shooting the night before at a Southern California country dance bar that left at least 12 dead. The other friends who were at the nightclub reunited at an undisclosed location after the bloodbath.

"Ashely this is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley. It's not fair how you were taken and how soon you were taken from us", Tamera wrote alongside a slideshow of photos of her niece.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Mowry-Housley's husband, Adam Housley, had visited the Los Robles Regional Medical Center in the early morning of November 8 in an effort to find Alaina, but he was unable to search for her because the hospital was on lockdown.

She responded to Mowry-Housley saying that she had already been in contact with her husband. "I'm hoping I'm wrong", he added. I'm a lover of words, photography, books, travel, animals and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Adam also spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the loss of his niece, saying, "She was an incredible, handsome girl who didn't hurt anybody, and was excited to go to Italy for a program overseas".

Women's biggest heart attack risk factors
Researchers have warned that heart disease is "still under the radar of most women" and called for equal access to treatments. Men who smoked were twice as likely to get heart attacks compared to men who did not smoke.

After a Twitter user offered her prayers, Mowry responded saying, "We haven't found her yet". Alaina's Apple Watch and phone showed she was still inside the bar, on the dance floor.

Mowry's twin sister Tia also conveyed her sadness at the passing of Alaina. "Unfortunately there's nothing new to report at the moment", she said.

At around 11:20 p.m, a gunman, who police have identified as former Marine Ian David Long, fired into a crowd of young people on hand for College Country Night, killing 12 people. "Our hearts are broken with the news of this profound loss", the university said in a statement. "Praying for you, Tamera, and all of your family", said one follower.
