A historic filming location for movies and television shows set in the Old West has burned down from the Woolsey wildfire now raging in California.

Park officials for the Santa Monica Mountains tweeted the news early Friday afternoon. "This area is an active part of the incident and we can not access it", officials said on Twitter. We don't have details or photos, but it's our understanding that the structures have all burned. Most recently, it was used as a location for the first and second seasons of HBO's Westworld.

Established by Paramount Pictures in 1927, the ranch hosted such productions as TV's Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Weeds, The Mentalist, Quickdraw and HBO's Great Depression-set mystery drama Carnivàle. Sadly, all of that vibrant Hollywood history has been burned to ash by the wildfire. "Amazed the church is still standing". Journalist John Schreiber posted photos of the damaged area just minutes later.

According to the Los Angeles Public Library's website, the decades-old movie set is the only "working movie western town in the National Parks System". The show also films at Melody Ranch in Santa Clarita, as well as Utah and other locations.

And in late October, one of 6ix9ine's bodyguards was reportedly shot in the stomach after an altercation at a dinner in Manhattan. Ye reportedly left immediately after the coast was clear, and production for the shoot wrapped as the crew was visibly disturbed.

In a statement released via ET, HBO addressed the fire problem: 'Paramount Ranch was one of the locations that were used during seasons 1 and 2 of Westworld, in addition to the main location at Melody Ranch, Santa Clarita.

The National Park Service that oversees the famed Paramount Ranch said Friday that the Western Town portion of the facility has burned down. Westworld is not now in production, and as the area has been evacuated, we do not yet know the extent of the damage to any structures remaining there. HBO said it did not know extent of the damage and expressed concern for "all those affected by these frightful fires".
