Marvel Studios unveiled a brand new trailer for Captain Marvel during ESPN's Monday Night Football game. But the movie also teases Danvers' attempts to remember her past, and figure out who she really is. Hollywood veteran Samuel L Jackson plays her support system and their chemistry will make you chuckle. It's a striking palette for Marvel, and one that promises a bold new voice in the MCU.

Hot on the heels of the Captain Marvel poster drop and trailer confirmation, several reliable internet sources are coming out and affirming that the Avengers 4 trailer will drop on Wednesday Morning. There's no official word on that yet, but we'll be willing it to be true with every fibre of our beings. That explains why they brought the writer on as a consultant for the film, as star Brie Larson revealed to us. He sums up the film's plot in the trailer's opening frame as Captain Marvel batters an old woman on a train.

In just over a decade, Brie Larson has gone from an Avril Lavigne knock-off to indie darling to an Oscar victor to playing "as powerful a character" as the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ever seen.

In the comic books, Carol Danvers gets her powers, including the ability to fly and manipulate energy, when the Psyche-Magnitron, a Kree wishing machine, explodes.

Jose Mourinho: Fred won't play until Manchester United defend better
Craig Burley and Steve Nicol break down Manchester United's 2-2 draw with Arsenal in a game that the Gunners should have won. But the United boss admitted "we need answers" ahead of playing Fulham on Saturday.

There are also scenes where Danvers gets a peek at her file, with photos of her past life as a pilot, telling Fury that she, 'had a life here'.

Captain Marvel launches on March 8, 2019, while Avengers 4 hits on May 3, 2019, followed by Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 5, 2019. "We made you one of us".

Who exactly is Carol Danvers? If anyone can be considered an expert in pop culture from the mid-1990s, when Captain Marvel is set, it's Smith; his directorial debut Clerks was released in 1994.
