With Cesc Fabregas' move to AS Monaco (finally) being confirmed on Friday evening, it's expected that Chelsea's pursuit of a replacement will accelerate over the weekend.

Fabregas has enjoyed plenty of success at global level too, winning the World Cup and two European championships with the Spain.

Cesc Fabregas played 303 times for Arsenal between 2003 and 2011, helping the club win the 2005 FA Cup.

"We thank Cesc for his wonderful service and wish him the very best of luck for the next chapter in what has been a fantastic career".

"There is no doubt Fabregas's place in the Chelsea history books is assured given his achievements over the past four-and-a-half seasons", Chelsea's statement said.

Fabregas will wear the number 44 jersey during his time with the former Ligue 1 champions.

After joining his new club side, Fabregas described the move as "a new project", calling it a "great honour".

Xiaomi cuts prices of four smartphones, including Redmi Note 6 in India
It operates on Android 9 Pie with MIUI interface 10 and has a 4000mAh battery that supports fast 18 Watt charging. The best feature of the new Redmi Note 7 is its price which starts from 999 Yuan ($150 / ₹10,500 approximately).

"The group is of quality with young players and a young coach".

"I'm here to help the team, I'm looking forward to starting".

Sarri said: "As you know very well I am not in control of the transfer market".

Key to the move was the fact that Monaco are now coached by Fabregas' former Gunners teammate Henry, with whom he won the Premier League in 2004.

Batshauyi's played in the French league for two years and scored 26 goals in 62 appearances and will be of huge benefit to Henry at Monaco.

Fabregas has etched an incredible legacy and will go down as one of the greatest creative players the Premier League has ever seen.

Chelsea are understood to be interested in replacing the Spaniard with either Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella or Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes. I think it just made sense for Chelsea to do the deal now.
