Winter is nearly here: HBO has just dropped a mind-blowing 90-second-long Game of Thrones season 8 teaser, which is giving fandom the creeps.

And of course, (or at least we hope!) Jon will finally learn the truth about his parents, that in fact he is not a complete Stark as he believes himself to be, but is half Stark and half Targaryen.

When will HBO reveal Game of Thrones season 8 premiere date? Hopefully, Bran can make it to the Stark family reunion because as every Game of Thrones fan knows, people you love tend to die.

The as yet unnamed series takes place thousands of years before the events in Game Of Thrones, with HBO saying it "chronicles the world's descent from the Age Of Heroes into its darkest hour".

So what do we know about what's to come?

As they stop, the temperature drops, and the three turn to face the oncoming cold.

The network also released a heart-stopping teaser video called Crypts of Winterfell.

Israel claims Syria air strike, says hunt for Hezbollah tunnels over
Lt Col Conricus said the sixth tunnel started in the border town of Ramyeh and was 55m (180ft) deep and 800m (2600ft) long.

We'll be getting a lot more of these types of scenes.

As Jon, Arya, and Sansa are walking through the crypt, we hear from some of those no longer with us, and the teaser ends with the three characters arriving at statues of themselves, as darkness and ice threaten to consume them.

"Season 8 episodes will all I think be longer than 60 minutes", Nutter said. The reaction I had while watching them was, 'I'm watching a movie, '"HBO CEO Richard Plelper reportedly told guests at a 2019 Golden Globes afterparty".

The eighth, and last, season will contain six episodes and is expected to wrap up the Emmy-winning show's many plot lines, including an invasion of zombie-like White Walkers from the north.

The premiere puts the series finale date at May 19.

With six episodes planned, it looks like Game Of Thrones fans will be saying goodbye to Westeros in May. When Sansa glances at her mother's statue, Catelyn's voice says, "All this horror that has come to my family".
