BET apologises to Nicki Minaj after "lace front" shade

In a statement, BET Networks said it has supported Nicki "from the very beginning and added: "Unfortunately, the respect we have for Nicki was violated by this post that should never have been written".

According to the company an internal audit is underway to ensure that similar posts are not published.

"BET loves Nicki Minaj", the statement reads. "I worked hard for my motherf***ing album", she can be seen saying in the video shared by a fan account. BET hopped on Twitter to call attention to the shade happening all over our timelines and inadvertently got hit by the crossfire.
