Dua Lipa comes out on top at Grammys

The 23-year-old was born in London to parents who emigrated from Kosovo. While it was an emotional moment for the singer, she didn't hesitate to deliver a possible dig toward Recording Academy president Neil Portnow.

During her acceptance speech, the 'Swan Song' singer said "I guess this year we've really stepped up".

Tonight's Best New Artist win marks Lipa's second Grammy win and her second nomination.

"And I'm proof that you can do whatever you put your mind to".

Today the Chinese company confirmed that its MWC event is directly related with the 5G OnePlus handset. So this could be a lot of people's only chance to early adopt the super high-speeds of 5G in 2019.


Neil Portnow faced backlash when he said that if women wanted recognition at the GRAMMYs, the needed to "step up".

"I know i'm not there tonight (trust, i tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and i know i said i try not to put too much weight into these things. but f**k. this is wild and attractive. thank you so much". Dua Lipa's 2019 Grammys outfit exceeded all of my expectations.

Footage from the press room shows that Dua Lipa did not leave her comments on the stage and that she continued to speak about the subject when quizzed by reporters.

"It's a big difference from the previous years and I feel so grateful to be a part of the nominations when they came out on December 7, I believe, and to see so many women on it - I was like, This is incredible".
