Police have no information about why the woman allegedly threw the two chairs off the balcony, nor do they have details about the person who took the video, Hopkinson said.

The video, captioned "Good morning", shows a woman with long, blond hair, and dressed in black picking up a chair on the balcony and then looking over the balcony while holding the chair.

On Monday, a video began circulating on social media that appears to show a woman dressed in black trousers, a black leather coat and black high heels tossing the chair over the balcony which is several storeys high.

In it, a woman stands on a high floor of a condo balcony near Harbour and York Streets and chucks a small chair over the railing.

Police say the items landed in front of the entrance to a condo building on the ground below. It is not believed anybody was injured by the chair.

"When you look at this video, anybody would look at it and think this is very, very risky".

He declined to release the woman's name or age, but told CBC Toronto: "We are in the midst of contacting her and giving her an opportunity to consult a lawyer and turn herself in".
