Senator Anning drew global condemnation for his efforts to blame the attacks that killed 49 Muslim worshipers on immigration.

But the remainder of his lengthy statement attacked Islam and Muslim immigrants in startling terms.

Video footage of Saturday's altercation clearly shows the unidentified teen cracking the egg on Mr. Anning's head as the senator spoke to reporters following a speaking engagement. The teen splats an egg on the back of Anning's head, filming the whole thing with his phone, which prompted Anning to spin around and throw a punch at the kid.

However, in the midst of this, Brisbane Senator Fraser Anning generated controversy for his response, which appeared to blame the victims involved. "The incident is being actively investigated by Victoria Police "in its entirety" including the actions of the 69-year-old man and others".

A brief scuffle ensued and the boy was arrested before being released without charge pending investigation.

"I would normally not want to give this any oxygen, but I want to absolutely and completely denounce the statements made by Senator his attack on Islamic faith specifically", the Prime Minister said.

Just incredible: As 49 Muslim worshippers lay dead in New Zealand, a sitting Australian senator blames "the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand".

Queensland Senator Fraser Anning, a far-right independent politician, tweeted last Friday: "Does anyone still dispute the link between Muslim immigration and violence?"

He also maintained that the team is committed to making the most of the World Cup as it comes every four years. They slipped from 175-1 to 182-4, before Jhye Richardson and Cummins helped them to a score of 279.

"It is disgusting and has no place in the Australian Parliament and hopefully the voters will deal with this fellow in the most effective way".

Former Australian prime minister Malcolm Turnbull wrote: "Fraser Anning's comments today are contemptible".

A GoFundMe page has already raised more than $8,000 to pay for his legal fees and "more eggs", according to the post.

I stand with Egg Boy ✊ he did what the majority of Australia wanted to do.

"Senator Fraser Anning has no place in the government of our democratic and multicultural country", it reads.

Multiple people were killed in mass shootings at two mosques full of people attending Friday prayers, as New Zealand police warned people to stay indoors as they tried to determine if more than one gunman was involved.

Needless to say, Egg Boy is the hero we need, but not the hero we deserve.
