DeMarcus Cousins played the best game of his short Golden State Warriors tenure in Wednesday night's 106-104 win over the Houston Rockets. Klay Thompson led the way with 30 points after going 5-10 from three-point range.

Now, on the latest episode of 'As the Warriors Turn', the team will again try and capture the rhythm that's eluded them in the hostile, but historically comforting confines of Oklahoma City in Saturday night's matchup against the Thunder. It seems point guard Chris Paul has an idea of what the Rockets need to do next time to overcome the Warriors. This was by far the best "Boogie" has been for the Warriors, setting season highs with 27 points and seven assists, repeatedly bullying the Rockets on the block.

The Warriors may have some disappointing losses to teams like the Orlando Magic and Phoenix Suns, but at the end of the day, this group of players is probably the greatest collection of talent ever assembled.

The Warriors sit atop the Western Conference with a 46-21 record.

The Rockets are now 4.5 games behind the Warriors for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference and 3.0 games behind the Denver Nuggets for the No. 2 seed.

"It's OK", added James Harden, who led the Rockets with 29 points. Nor was DeMarcus Cousins available for the Warriors' first two meetings against the Rockets this season, while he was still recovering from the torn Achilles tendon that made it possible for Golden State to add an All-Star big man for the taxpayer's exception.

"They're still the team to beat", Rivers said.

"But that's OK. That's 3-1 [in the regular-season series]". If they didn't say anything, I'm sure they're thinking it. "We're a lot smaller than past year - we're a different team - but we match up well with them".

"We just had too many mistakes", Houston coach Mike D'Antoni said.

As Beyonce, a Houston native, sang on "6 Inch", (although not at all related to sports) "Come back, come back, come back".

"When Kevin is out, we don't have the luxury of throwing to him and getting 30 points", Thompson said after the Warriors snapped the Rockets' nine-game winning streak.

The Warriors were up by 13 after a reverse layup by Cousins with about 5 1/2 minutes left before Houston used a 7-2 run, with a 3-pointer from Eric Gordon, to get to 102-94.

"We fought the entire game, it's just we came up against a good team", Harden said.

Paul sank two free throws with 47 seconds remaining to pull Houston within 104-100, then completed a 3-point play after being fouled by Andre Iguodala to pull the Rockets within 104-103 with 10 seconds remaining. "This was a good night". On Sunday night the Suns went into Oracle Arena and defeated Golden State for the first time since a 107-95 victory on November 9, 2014.

He isn't the best rebounding Center in the league but he isn't one to be bullied around the post either.
