What ceased to be known until now, however, was that the move also involved shifting all Prince Harry and the former "Suits" actress offices out of Kensington Palace, further dividing up the royal brothers.

Buckingham Palace announced the development in a statement: "The Queen has agreed to the creation of a new Household for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, following their marriage in May a year ago".

The news of her appointment comes as The Queen creates a new royal household for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of which Ms Latham will head.

Fans are predicting the royal bub will arrive at the end of April, as Meghan's sister-in-law, Kate, had her final engagement on March 22 a year ago before going on maternity leave.

'The Household, which will be created with the support of The Queen and The Prince of Wales, will be established in the spring.

"The Duke of Sussex now has his own private office, which has been supporting The Duchess since Their Royal Highness's engagement in November 2017".

"Sara Latham has been appointed to head up communications for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, reporting directly to The Queen's Communication Secretary", a statement released by Kensington Palace said.

In comparison, sister-in-law Kate typically starts her leave around a month before she gave birth to each of her three children.

While Kensington Palace had not announced a more specific due date other than "spring of 2019", the pregnant royal revealed on a January walkabout that she is due at the end of April or early May.

His Deputy, Christian Jones, who recently joined from the Treasury, will be promoted to Communications Secretary to Kate and William.

And it shows, as you might expect, that he and Meghan want to forge their own role in the institution and do things their own way. As William is set to one day take the throne and become king, it was always planned for him and Kate to have their own household, separate from Harry, who has moved down to number six in the line of succession.
