Expectation on the new model is high as SUVs are now the fastest-growing vehicle segment in the US and China, Tesla's two largest markets. The most basic understanding that we have of this auto right now is that it is an SUV-version of the Tesla Model 3.

It's against that backdrop that the Palo Alto-based company is about to add yet another project into the mix: The Tesla Model Y, an all-electric SUV.

Tesla is finally going to launch its standard Model 3 vehicles. Hence, we expect Tesla Model Y to come out at $38,500 for the basic variant. Musk, 47, is a visionary and inventive boss but is also highly unpredictable, especially on social network Twitter, where he has often communicated in defiance of rules imposed on executives of publicly-traded companies. On February 19, he tweeted that Tesla would make 500,000 cars in 2019 - up from the 400,000 that the company had estimated until then, as it grapples with production problems with the Model 3.

Tesla recently announced a handful of updates dedicated to increasing charging speeds for all its vehicles, including the reveal of its V3 Supercharger, an updated charging method that Tesla says will "ultimately cut the amount of time customers spend charging by an average of 50%, as modeled on our fleet data".

Theresa May loses voice and vote
Some of her colleagues around the Cabinet table think it shows she has to tack to a closer deal with the EU. Numerous EU leaders expressed their dismay after MPs voted by 391 to 242 votes to reject Mrs May's deal.

First and foremost, 75 % of Model Y's components is shared with the Model 3. It's of more curiosity when it comes to the battery packs, as Model 3 is available in many options, so there will be a mix of sales. Tesla says it will accelerate V3 Supercharger installation in "Q2 and Q3", so you might see one sooner than you think. The Shanghai Gigafactory is expected to produce five hundred thousand entry-level model 3's and Y's by the end of 2019.

Legal experts have said the SEC could now pursue multiple avenues, including a higher fine, imposing further restrictions on Musk's activities or removing him from Tesla's board or helm. The company could think about the profitability in Q2.According to the company, the Model 3 base model will feature a top speed of 130 miles per hour and can speed up from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 5.6 seconds.

"I think we will be feature-complete full self-driving this year, meaning the auto will be able to find you in a parking lot, pick you up, take you all the way to your destination without an intervention - this year", Musk said in an interview with ARK Invest.

That doesn't mean every Model Y will be made in America.
