Leicester's first chance of the second half should have been the equaliser as Jamie Vardy was one-on-one with Martin Dubravka, but the Foxes' top scorer blazed over the bar from five-yards out. Perez nearly squeezed home the second goal for Newcastle with 14 minutes remaining after getting on the end of a loose ball at the near post but Schmeichel was alert to make the save this time.
