'Game of Thrones' Meets 'Sesame Street,' Elmo in HBO Mashup

In celebration of Sesame Street's 50th anniversary, HBO's launched a new campaign focused on the concept of respect, and-because the network also produces series like Game of Thrones and Westworld - someone got the brilliant idea of putting together a pair of excellent crossover PSA videos.

No, Uncle Larry didn't spike your morning coffee again, that really is Elmo from Sesame Street sitting down with Game of Thrones' Tyrion and Cersei Lannister.

As Cersei and Tyrion bicker, Elmo of Sesame Street pulls up a chair to explain the importance of listening and learning when faced with disagreements, and even gets Cersei to agree to take a break from incest and murder to try. Thankfully, it seems that they're crossing over in the name of mutual respect.

"Elmo thinks that you two need to respect each other" the muppet says.

Part of this request was a partnership with Tencent Holdings - one of China's biggest tech and gaming companies. Nintendo has previously released gaming devices like the N64 and the 3DS XL in China under iQue branding.


While Elmo was in Westeros, Cookie Monster dropped by Westworld to deliver a similar lecture to Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) and Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood). "I am willing to learn and listen if you are". If they can't get along, they can at least try!
