Nazem Kadri looking at fifth career suspension

The Bruins responded on Saturday night and salvaged a split heading into Toronto after losing the series opener and they will look to carry that momentum into Game 3 on Monday night at Scotiabank Arena in enemy territory.

Andreas Johnsson, also with a goal and an assist, and Trevor Moore provided the rest of the offence for Toronto. If the Leafs are eliminated, Kadri, who has played 10 seasons and 591 games in Toronto, could face an uncertain off-season. David Krejci and Charlie Coyle scored for Boston.

Grabbing the win in game two was Tuukka Rask, who stopped 30 of the 31 shots that he faced. The B's turned that power play into a goal and happily obliged to the Leafs' undisciplined play, tying the series at one with their own 4-1 victory.

The NHL suspended Kadri for the remainder of the first-round series between Toronto and Boston after his cross-check to the face of Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk in Game 2 on Saturday. "They upped their compete level. If you're playing brutal, you don't want to be out there, but if you have it going, the team is playing well, it's a big game, you want to be out there as much as you can, as much as your body will let you".

"It is important to note that this is not a case in which Kadri's stick rides up DeBrusk's body or stick in some way before making contact with DeBrusk's head", the National Hockey League states in the video. "It's obviously not ideal at playoff time, but with the intensity of these games anything can happen". The Bruins evened the series 1-1 with their victory in Game 2.

"Just a team effort", Rielly said.

This means Kadri is eligible to be suspended in excess of five games. You've got to own your play, you've got to own your discipline, you've got to own what's going on for you.

More importantly, Jadeja brings with him solidarity at the lower end of the batting and not to forget his brilliance on the field. England, ranked No.1 on the MRF Tyres ICC ODI Team rankings, have been widely touted as favourites for the mega-event.

In the last six minutes of the third period, DeBrusk delivered a hit to Patrick Marleau, and in retaliation, Kadri returned a check, bringing up his stick and hands and hitting DeBrusk up high, sending him to the ice.

Kadri was given a cross-checking penalty and ejected with a game misconduct.

"Every night you get a set of four officials (including linesmen)", Babcock said.

The Leafs knew the Bruins wouldn't wave any white flags in the third, but Toronto gave as good as they got - and when it came down to brass tacks, Andersen was superb, keeping the Bruins off the scoresheet in the final frame. Bruins defenceman Connor Clifton sat out with an undisclosed injury, while winger Marcus Johansson missed a second consecutive game with an illness. Unlike Game 2, when they crumbled under the withering Boston fore-checking, the Leafs managed to withstand the early Bruins push and get the better of the scoring chances in the first half of the period.

With critics slamming Kadri for being selfish and out of control the last two post-seasons, the Leafs could find some relief by getting rid of his $4.5-million (U.S.) cap hit. Partly for his ranking, but mostly for his ability to do one thing he severely understated when asked about the role he plays on the Leafs man advantage.
