Google's New Site Trips Features All the Travel-Related Plans

The new Trips landing page is live now on the web, the organization did not determine how this will affect the Google Trips mobile application which is right now used as a competitor to TripIt for showing travel schedules offline.

Google launched a new online site called Trips, which consolidates its existing travel services into a single portal, making it easier to plan your travel itinerary - from airline tickets to hotel reservations to travel packages - directly from your desktop. They have also now added a feature that will point out popular neighborhoods near where you're staying and what they are famous for.

Recent searches, saved places and flights you're tracking are added automatically to your trips when you're signed into your Google Account. We can find some of the information related to travel from Google Search itself. Google intends Maps to be the ultimate go-to for all information while you travel, as your trips - including reservations for hotels and restaurants - will soon be accessible in Google Maps. So Google Trips is a platform on its own at the moment.
