The FBI is working with Portland Police and officials from the Parkrose School District to investigate an incident on Friday when a Parkrose High School student entered the school armed with a shotgun and was tackled by a staff member and held until police arrived.

"I'm just happy everyone was OK", Lowe said four hours after the ordeal.

The outcome was "the best-case scenario, absolutely", Yakots said.

Lowe, who played for the Ducks from 2011 to 2014, coaches football and track and field at the school, where he also works as a security guard.

The Portland Police Bureau said in a statement Friday that no shots were fired at Parkrose High School, no one was injured and the man is in custody. Lowe's coworker Olivia Katbi Smith, who coaches track with him, said she wasn't surprised by Lowe's selflessness.
