Samsung brings Galaxy Watch Active features to older smartwatches

Just as with the One UI update on Samsung's phones, the watch update brings a lot of changes, including a refreshed user interface and some new features. One UI introduces a much simpler and modern interface that Samsung has failed to bring on its devices for a while, and overall it's been a positive improvement in terms of looks. The update is rolling out over-the-air, and since such updates usually arrive in stages, some might receive the new firmware in a few days while others might be running it already.

For example, those who have updated will notice a slightly more streamlined user interface, which is created to resemble the UI on the most recent Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

Older smartwatches also get all the newer watch faces that are on the Galaxy Watch Active. And when you launch Samsung Health, you'll see the Daily Activities screen right from the start to keep tabs on your progress.

United Kingdom leader promises a 'bold offer' on Brexit deal
He said the more British Prime Minister Theresa May tries to bring in opposition parties, the more she loses her own people. A separate Opinium poll put the Brexit Party at 34 per cent, with Labour in second place on 20 per cent.

According to Samsung, the update adds age-based demographic averages to compare against in sleep tracking and high heart rate alerts, plus a more streamlined workout app and an outdoor swimming mode. The update features improved battery optimization for better performance and longer use, automatically closing background apps and amending settings that may drain battery life. You can fine-tune other settings, such as the brightness and screen timeout.

The One UI update is available starting today and can be found in the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone.
