New reports say Samsung has modified its hinge design so that the screen fits closer to the rest of the phone - a move that the company says will decrease the chances of unwanted debris finding its way into the device.

The Galaxy Note 10 is projected to go live in August with plenty of improvements, including camera cutouts like the ones on the Galaxy S10, as well as fingerprint sensors embedded into the screen.

Top Samsung insider Ice Universe revealed in a series of tweets that the Note 10 will represent the "optimization and perfection of Galaxy S10 and Note 9". The new codename is in line with the Galaxy Note 10's codename of 'Da Vinci'. The tipster, however, did not specify details as to how this will look in the Galaxy Note 10 Pro smartphone.

Because of this, it seems extremely likely the Galaxy S11 lineup will retain the punch hole design found on this year's Galaxy S10 series.

Samsung Galaxy S8 was internally called Dream, while its successor was known as Star. The Galaxy Note and Galaxy S designs wouldn't have confused fans in previous years, but using the same Galaxy S10 design for the Note 10 might.

The camera on the back, meanwhile, will have a vertical placement according to Ice Universe.

Earlier this month Samsung told customers who pre-ordered the Fold that they have to inform the company that they're still interested in buying the phone, otherwise their orders will be cancelled.
