There's a Taco Bell Resort Coming to California This Summer

As reported by Uproxx, Taco Bell is officially opening up a new hotel and resort in Palm Springs where guests will be treated to tons of exclusive goodies from the chain.

We're picturing a pool filled with Fire Sauce floaties while "Bell" hops deliver Baja Blasts and Doritos Locos Tacos to anyone clad in an official Taco Bell bikini.

With the hotel, it was "a buildup of things over the course of the past couple of years", rather than a specific idea or request, said Alec Treffers, communication and brand experience senior specialist for Taco Bell. It will only be open for a limited time. "It will be fun, colorful, flavorful and filled with more than what our fans might expect", Taco Bell's chief global branding officer Marisa Thalberg said in the release. Everything from guest rooms to breakfast and poolside cocktails will be infused with a Taco Bell twist.

Walmart Introduces Free Next-Day Delivery
Walmart has also been expanding same-day grocery delivery service fulfilled from its stores for a fee of about $10. Walmart only launched its two-day shipping service in January 2017.

The city's attempt to get more information from Taco Bell's parent company, Yum!

Sadly, this foray into hospitality is short-lived (for now), and our collective dream of Taco Bell becoming the next Airbnb or Marriott is not a reality quite yet. We're not talking about the people who occasionally hit the drive-thru for a taco or chalupa, and have helped the chain retain its spot as the No. 4 restaurant in the United States. These are just some of the plans the chain has revealed, with other experiences (including new menu items) still to be announced.

Taco Bell stans, this is all you right here. To stay up to date on the hotel and when reservations officially go live check out The Bell's website or follow Taco Bell's Instagram.
