After a long period of inactivity, HTC has launched two new smartphones for the Taiwanese market. If it does, let's hope HTC would keep the price lower than that for the Taiwanese market. So, we're intrigued to see the company is back with more - even though we're curious as to what happened to HTCs 13 through to 18.

The HTC U19E (photo above) is powered by a Snapdragon 710 and 6GB of RAM.

It's reportedly on sale for $475 (roughly £375, AU$680), so it's the high-end handset of the two.

At the rear, the U19e packs a dual camera setup housing a 12MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture, teaming up with a 20MP f/2.6 2x telephoto camera.

Although Google has acquired the mobile division of HTC, the company still continue to produce smartphones. Also present is a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. There is a microSD card slot as well for further storage expansion. Like the HTC U19e, the Desire 19+ ships with Android 9 Pie and HTC's Sense UI pre-installed. Connectivity features include Dual SIM, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, NFC, USB-C 3.1 with DisplayPort, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou. Talking about the HTC U19e, it is mentioned to come with new water glass design.

Russian journalist abruptly freed amid criticism
Mr Kolokoltsev said police officers involved in detaining Mr Golunov, 36, were being suspended as an investigation was launched. Golunov, who maintained his innocence and claimed to be the victim of a set-up, was placed under house arrest on 8 June.

The U19e features a 6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2160 by 1080 pixels.

The HTC U19e will arrive in two colors: Extraordinary Purple and Modest Green.

The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset with 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

The HTC Desire 19 Plus, on the other hand, carries a price tag of TWD 9,990 (approximately Rs 22,100). Both models will be available in Star Can Blue and Jasmine White color options. In terms of camera department, the HTC Desire 19 Plus features a triple camera system at the back. The phone will go on sale starting July. There is also support for HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi Ultrasound. You'll need to buy a Quick Charge 4.0 adapter though, because the phone only comes with a Quick Charge 3.0 charger. Instead, HTC has opted for a single 16-megapixel snapper that supports Face Unlock.
