Jessica Biel not against vaccinations, just against bill

Jessica Biel appears to have declared herself a supporter of the anti-vaccination movement after spending the day lobbying lawmakers in the USA with advocate Robert F Kennedy Jr.

In laymen's terms, it would stop anti-vaxx parents from making baseless claims about why they're not vaccinating their children, because they would be required to have exemptions filtered through a medical professional.

On Thursday, the 37-year-old took to Instagram to speak with her followers directly, and set the record straight about her opposition to SB277, a CA state bill which would limit medical exemptions from vaccines.

Robert F Kennedy JR told The Daily Beast that he opposes the political red tape that he and Biel believe would force children to receive vaccinations.

The bill, introduced by State Senator Richard Pan, proposes that by 2021, licensed physicians and surgeons statewide must use a standardized medical exemption request form, and that this form becomes the only one accepted by the state government.

'[Jessica] is upset about this issue because of its particular cruelty. Kennedy confirmed as much in a phone call with the outlet, though he wouldn't go so far as to outright say that Biel was a part of his movement. Not because I don't believe in vaccinations, but because I believe in giving doctors and the families they treat the ability to decide what's best for their patients and the ability to provide that treatment.

She said her "concern" with SB277 is "solely regarding medical exemptions" - and is a personal issue. Her lobbying partner, Robert, also avoided that label when explaining why Jessica is getting mixed up in vaccination politics.

Jessica Biel is clarifying her stance on vaccinations. That same year, an anonymous "friend" told In Touch that Biel and Timberlake had not vaccinated their infant son, Silas.

Several other politicians posted photos of themselves posing with Biel.

The vaccination legislation, Senate Bill 276, seeks to make it more hard for doctors to grant exemptions to the state's immunization requirements, giving the state more control over such decisions. He described her as "for safe vaccines and for medical freedom", adding, "She has friends who have been vaccine-injured who would be forced to leave the state".
