Tanushree, who now lives in the USA, asked if it was 'difficult for harassment accused Nana Patekar to get himself or shall we say buy himself a clean chit'.

"Yes, we have filed a B-Summary Report before the court", Mumbai Police spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner of Police Manjunath Shinge told IANS.

In a statement to the media, Nitin added, "If police files any B or C classification of summary report, that can not be final". "Our witnesses have been silenced by intimidation and fake witnesses have been put forth to weaken the case", PTI quoted fro Dutta's statement on Thursday.

Dutta had spoken publicly, many years ago, about Patekar's alleged unwelcome behaviour towards her, and then again in October 2018, when she said that Patekar misbehaved with her on the set of the movie Horn Ok Please in 2008.

She urged everyone to boycott Patekar movies, warning that it will be their bad karma if they continued to watch or support his films. The actress had previously rubbished reports of the police closing the case.

Dutta claimed that industry insiders knew about the incident, however, they did not speak about it. Nana Patekar had refuted the charges, calling the allegations "a lie". "We have witnesses but their statements haven't been recorded", he said.

Congressional panel names witnesses for Boeing Max hearing
The plane was grounded in mid-March after two fatal crashes , putting focus on a particular safety feature on the plane. In effect, American Airlines now won't use its fleet of Boeing 737 Max planes any time this summer.

The allegations by Tanushree Dutta, 35, are widely seen to be the start of a #MeToo campaign in India, a year after a similar moment gathered pace in the U.S. after several women went public against movie moghul Harvey Weinstein. Reacting to the complaint filed by Dutta then, he had said, "Whatever I had to say, I said 10 years back".

"The police acted negligently to protect Nana Patekar, statements of many witnesses have not been recorded yet. If rape accused Alok Nath got a clean chit and returned to movies, then surely it was not going to be hard for harassment accused Nana Patekar to get himself, or shall we say buy himself, a clean chit to continue to bully hapless young women", she said.

Dutta's complaint against Patekar past year sparked a nationwide '#MeToo' movement on social media. For a life without hope is like a candle without fire. I'm exhausted of fighting alone against oppressors, bullies and a corrupt system.

"She later added, ".Continue to expose these creeps through social media and other platforms so that in future people would think twice before troubling an innocent young girl.

She concluded by saying that she still believes she will get justice. "How.only time will tell (sic)".
