Arsenal Target Wilfried Zaha Requests Crystal Palace Exit

According to Sky Sports, Zaha told Palace that he wishes to leave the club after returning from the 2019 Africa Cup Nations.

The gunners have been linked with Wilfried Zaha since the start of the transfer window and they even had a £40million bid rejected by Crystal Palace despite the Ivorian worldwide having his brother say that it's always been a dream for him to play for the North Londoners.

Wilfried Zaha was one of Crystal Palace's top performers during the 2018/19 campaign.

It was recently reported that Wilfried Zaha had told Crystal Palace that he wants to leave but his manager Roy Hodgson has denied these reports saying that he hasn't been told anything.

Reports have claimed Zaha is determined to leave Selhurst Park five years after he returned to the club from Manchester United, initially on loan. Arsenal expected to push again in the coming days.

He added in a second tweet: "Arsenal is Zaha's personal preference but even if he doesn't move there, it won't stop him wanting to play on the biggest stages". Zaha is Unai Emery's No 1 target.

Palace boss Roy Hodgson insists that Arsenal are still some way from meeting their valuation of Zaha.

James Harden to skip Fiba World Cup to focus on Rockets
We're unlikely to ever get the real story from behind the scenes now that Paul and Harden are no longer teammates. It's the business, things don't work out. "He's a great dude I have nothing negative to say about him".

'He has not spoken to me.

"I am up for the fight but the only time I would consider leaving is if I am not playing as much as I would like to".

"He has high regard for himself, just as we have high regard for him".

"I think he has got another 10 days or another week of holiday".

"So whenever the chance comes I always try and prove I should be starting". I think he is back after we play Bristol City [on July 27] and before we play Hertha Berlin [on August 3] - that gives him his three weeks off. "If he wants to come back earlier we will be very happy to see him".
