'Supergirl' Reveals Two New Cast Members -- and a New Suit

Also making his way to The CW is Staz Nair, who you might know from Game of Thrones where he played Daenerys supporter and Dothraki warrior Qhono.

Also exciting? Julie Gonzalo (Veronica Mars, Dallas, Eli Stone) will join the cast as Andrea Rojas, a.k.a. Acrata.

The announcements come straight from the powerful Supergirl 2019 Comic-Con International panel where the showrunners and cast took to the stage on Saturday to discuss the upcoming season.

The update to Kara's suit was conceptualized by "Supergirl" costume designer Victoria Auth and created by Ironhead Studios and Bill Hargates Costumes. A new trailer and image give some idea of the shadowy threat Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) will face this time around-smartphones, they'll kill ya!-as well as a few new additions to the show. Nair will play original character reporter William Dey.

It was also announced at the panel that Season 5 will feature two new series regulars, both first appearing in the premiere.

For example: Pants! Kara has a sleek new supersuit this season that ditches the skirt for a more streamlined approach, the first major redesign for the character since season 1. Direct from Warner Bros.: "On the surface, he's a cynic and a sellout who looks down on Kara's earnest idealism". Oh, and he has some ties to the criminal underworld, which may cause problems down the road. One of the biggest changes coming this season is that Supergirl is finally - in season 5 - getting her first new supersuit. In the meantime, tell us, are you a fan of this revamped suit or not?
