KY3 hosts 2019 Ring Day with Springfield Salvation Army

Joel and Ramona Arthur, the newest envoys at the Ottumwa Salvation Army, are looking for volunteers to man their red kettles this holiday season.

It's funded by donations through the Red Kettle Campaign.

"This Toy and Children's Coat Drive helps us assist area families with the little extra support they need at Christmas" said Brad Patterson, Development Director from The Salvation Army. It's easier than ever for individuals, families, groups and businesses to sign up this year!

Every cent dropped into a red kettle or donated to the online campaign stays local to Brazos County.

Roughly 150 Salvation Army volunteers gathered at the Distribution Center to wrap the presents. Captain McFee secured a large red pot, positioned it so all those going to and from the ferryboats could see it, and launched a tradition that has since spread throughout the world.
